Kolpak Opens its Doors for Manufacturing Day 2018 in Parsons, TN!

Kolpak in Parsons, TN was honored to host over sixty students from Scotts Hill and Riverside High School, along with local city and government officials in celebration of Mfg Day.  

Clint Reed, VP & Managing Director Delfield & Kolpak, shared information regarding Welbilt and the different brands within the company.  Randy White, Mgr Sales Engineering, shared information regarding Kolpak customers, and some well-known job sites (i.e. Mercedes Benz Stadium and The Ark).  Stephanie Wilkerson, Director of HR – US Operations, finished the presentation by discussing local job opportunities.

 Plant tours were led by Mike Phillips, Director of Operations, and Vickie Barker, Production Control Supervisor.  Upon completion of the tours, students received complimentary gifts including a t-shirt inside a Kolpak drawstring bag.

Kolpak was the only representative in the southwest part of TN that participated in MFG Day.  The Kolpak team was supported by representatives from the TN Dept of Economic & Community Development and the Ayers Foundation. These two agencies provided support not only in the planning but also in the coordination and execution of the event.  Belinda Reed, Director of Outreach & Workforce Development with the Ayers Foundation, stated that Kolpak’s MFG Day was fantastic and that Kolpak had set the bar for other manufacturers to use when developing their MFG Day.

MFG Day at Kolpak was a tremendous success thanks to the participation of the local high schools, the eagerness of the students, the assistance of the state, and our great workforce that was willing to share their day with the students.
